Materials & writing
Yellow talisman paper, brush, ink and vertical composition are inseparable from the experience of this calligraphy. Process documentation will offer a closer view of how the works take shape.
PROCESS / IN THE MAKING
Process
Works take shape through materials, gestures and time. This section will present films and records of the creative process.
The artist’s account
Process videos will link to the relevant works, allowing viewers to hear the artist speak about their making.
WORK / RECORD
Process and work,
seen through one another.
Documentation brings us closer to how a work happens, but is not the work itself. Each video will be identified as process documentation, an artist’s account or an independent moving-image work, according to its content.
Future video pages will link to related works and provide available captions or written notes. Playback will remain the visitor’s choice.
